Companies such as POZIBLE exist to make projects come to life.

Pozible is an international company and have a 56% of successful projects. They have a worldwide audience with offices situated across Australia, USA, Singapore, and China.

How it works:

The public are able to contribute funds to a project and in return, project creators can offer rewards matched to the different levels of funding commitment.

There are limitations such as the fundraising can only last for a period of 60 days and if the project is successful, a minimum 5% of the money earned will go back to Pozible. Once the project achieves it's goal, donations can still be accepted and all supporting funds are transferred immediately.

However, if the project is unsuccessful in it's funding goals, all previous donations are cancelled and no funds are transferred. Pozible will also not charge the project creator for their service.

If people LOVE what you’re creating,

they can SUPPORT it by pledging money.

Members of the public can contribute financially to a proposed project online.

Many aspiring filmmakers may not make it far in terms of receiving immediate funding, therefore we researched other ways in which an indepedent filmmaker can recieve funding through the concept of crowdfunding.

"Crowd funding seemed like the best way to not only raise money but also spread more awareness about the film. I really wanted this film to be a collaboration. For people to be with us for the entire ride and to be a part of it."

Personal user experience of Pozible by Australian filmmaker, Aaron Wilson*

Aaron Wilson talks about the benefits of using Pozible because of the ability to reach a wider and global audience online.

"What was surprising was the reach that the campaign had, locally and internationally. At the time, we were an unknown film. During the course of the campaign, we connected with a whole new audience from a diverse cross-section of the community. Pozible, with its extensive reach into the surrounding Asian region, were incredibly supportive when it came to presenting our film and the campaign to whole new groups of people, which in turn really helped to strengthen our existing supporter base. Being successful at raising our target amount was an obvious win for us, but reaching a larger audience - before our film was even completed - was priceless."

Aaron Wilson used Pozible to promote and fund his feature film, Canopy. He managed to raise more than $23,000 AU in 2012 with a total of 182 supporters worldwide.
